For weeks the pandemic has forced us to spend our time mainly behind our own four walls. Spring doesn’t care, it still attracts with blue skies, blooming gardens and warmer temperatures. But the daily round around the block is boring in the long run. These are the places you can enjoy this beautiful season to its fullest – without violating corona guidelines!
Rent a boat in Potsdam
Where are you absolutely safe from foreign contact and can still move freely? Right, on the water. Boats can still be rented without a license from the Potsdam boat charter – and at the moment they even have a special Corona price without deposit. Perfect for spending a wonderful day in the sun with the family and / or in the smallest of circles. The boats are of course provided contact-free in compliance with all hygiene regulations.
Hit the gas on the Crown Princess Route
From the S-Bahn station Grunewald (Königsweg) to the Great Wannsee, the track is perfectly smooth for kilometers on this well-developed skate route. If you want to physically exhaust yourself, then inliners, racing bikes and the like, then this trackis just right for you. Joggers and walkers also have fun, they can avoid the busy traffic on side roads while venturing in the forest. The rest of the people set new speed records and enjoy the blossoming nature as they breathe.
Eat Some Ice Cream
Venturing to Grunewald, the ice cream parlor Da Dalt is almost on the way. For years it has been one of the favorite addresses in western Berlin. Even in Corona times, the shop offers a large, classic range of ice creams and sundaes that not only delight children. The rush when the weather is nice out, is big – but even in corona times there is enough space on the counters and the sidewalk for all ice cream lovers. Other great addresses for a delicious refreshment in west Berlin: Yoli Frozen Yogurt in Knesebeckstraße and Jones Ice Cream in Schöneberger Goltzstraße. You can even get the ice cream delivered to your front door.
Only thing left to mention: We wish you a good springtime despite everything. Keep your distance, avoid social contact outside of your closest family circle and help end this crisis soon. We are already looking forward to welcoming you back here!
